January Lanier Kayak Fishing Report - Crappie Time!

The New Year is here and that means Crappie Time on Lake Lanier! While we have experienced some cold temps in Georgia this winter the crappie fishing is still heating up on Lanier! I am catching these fish under docks on the north end of the lake using a 1/32 oz jig tipped with a crappie nibble. Docks with 12 plus feet out in front are the primary targets but don't hesitate to try deeper or shallower docks as these fish continue to move up on prep for the spawn.

Helpful tips on Crappie fishing from the Kayak can be found at this article:  Lake Lanier Kayak Crappie Fishing

Also check out my recent video that shows you the "dock shooting" technique from the kayak:

I will post an updated report soon and plan to update the kayak crappie fishing article.  Good luck fishing!  Yakdawg
